Measures for Daily Performance Evaluation of International Students in Jinggangshan University
In order to further enhance the management of international students, to arouse their enthusiasm of self-education, self-management, and to regulate and develop their good conduct, referring to Measures for General Diathesis Estimate of Students in Jinggangshan University, in the light of the actual conditions of international students, these measures are in particularformulated.
I. Evaluation Content

Ⅱ. Evaluation Measures
1. The college in which international students study are required to establish an evaluation group composed of college leaders, class advisors and management staff for international students, which is responsible for the evaluation of international students’ daily performance and grade assessment.
2.Each class forms an evaluation group for international students’ daily performance, which is made up of members of class committee, student representatives. The class advisor is in charge of the evaluation of the class.
3.At the beginning of each semester, the students are required to fill in personal information in Daily Performance Evaluation Form for International Students of Jinggangshan University (appendix 1), and sign an Agreement (appendix 2). At the usual time, each class makes records for every student in aspect of study, fees payment, daily life and discipline. At the end of each semester, an evaluation will be given to every student. And the total score and level will be generated for the whole academic year accordingly.
4. After the college evaluation group make the evaluation for students’ daily performance and determine the score and level for each student, the Daily Performance Evaluation Form for International Students of Jinggangshan University should be submitted to Office of International Students’ Affairs as archived file.
Ⅲ. Evaluation Standards
1. The total score of daily performance evaluation = the score in study assessment × 40% + the score in fees payment × 20% + the score in daily life × 20% + the score in discipline × 20% + the score for outstanding performances.
2. The daily performance evaluation is divided into 4 levels: A, B, C, and D.
Level A: score 90 or over 90 points
Level B: score 80-89 points
Level C: score 60-79 points
Level D: score below 60 points
The following are specific standards for evaluation:

Evaluation on study is subject to records made by the teacher and attendance –recording monitor, the record of examination regulation-violating and the assessment of the evaluation group.
2) Evaluation on fees payment(base score = 100 points)

Evaluation on fees payment is subject to conditions about fees payment offered by Finance Department and Office of International Students’ Affairs and other departments.

5) Extra points for outstanding performances

The above items for extra points are subject to certifications provided by relevant departments.
Ⅳ. Notes
1. As far as a whole academic year is concerned, only students winning Grade A & B in daily performance evaluation are in principle entitled to compete for the provincial scholarship for international students.
2. Those who has any of the following circumstances, the daily performance evaluation is graded as D:
1) break Chinese laws and regulations and thus detained by the Public Security
Bureau;
2) take the lead in strike ortroublemaking;
3) have any serious discipline-violating conduct, rendering serious consequences,
and thus receive the punishment of demerit recording or above .
3. Annually, the daily performance evaluation for international students will be notified to their parents and be kept on file while in graduation.
These measures come into effect since November 2010. Office of International Cooperation & Exchange has the right to explain all of them.
